Spraying -  PA4 Granular Application Application Course.

A one day course for those who wishing to develop their granular pesticide application techniques, as well as gain the NPTC PA 4, application certificate of competency. This course can be tailored for those wishing to apply slug pellets (molluscicides) and or granular pesticides.

Pre Course Requirements:- Delegates must hold or have been trained in PA1 Safe Use and Handling of Chemicals 

Course Certification:- NPTC PA4 S and or G

Course Length:- One day +  3-4 Hour assessment

Course Times:- 9.30AM to 4.30PM

Instructor:- Various.

Cost:- £130 per per son + VAT And certification. In house prices are available to suit the client. Price on application

Venue:- Marsh Hill Farm, Marsh, Aylesbury HP17 8ST or to suit client.

Maximum number of delegates:- 3-6 depending on Covid-19 restrictions.

Course content: 

  • Safe operating practice. 
  • Faultfinding. 
  • Preparation of equipment.
  • Post operation maintenance. 
  • Setting and testing application rate. Site work.

As a result of these courses, participants will be able to: 

  • Use granular pesticides safely, applied with appropriate application equipment.
  •  Identify and select calibration techniques.
  • Operate equipment within legislation and codes of practice. 
  • Clean equipment and dispose of unwanted pesticides and containers.
  • Identify and rectify faults and recognise when application is inadvisable.
