Transportation of Livestock

This is a one day practical course, in which the trainees will taught how to correctly and safely transport all livestock. The course can lead to NPTC level 2 transportation of livestock qualification. 


Course prerequisite: None but delegates must be over 16 years of age.

Course Times: 9.30am to 4.00pm or to suit client.

It is with immense pride that we announce that Kate Mason has been awarded the Women in Agriculture Education and Training Woman of the Year award at the The National Women in Agriculture Awards 2026, and is the icing on the cake as she celebrates 40 years of working with and for Vale Training Services Ltd.

The event celebrated 13 exceptional women from across the UK farming sector during a ceremony held on 5 May at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms. The course will cover the following:

  • Comply and act within the law when transporting animals by road.
  • Avoid unnecessary stress of stock during transport.
  • Minimise the likelihood of risks occurring.
  • Understand the welfare code of practice surrounding the transportation of livestock.
  • Identify safe loading practices. 
  • Identify and deal with common risks e.g. injury, fire and chemicals.
