Environmental Policy

It is the aim of Vale Training Services Ltd, to do as much as possible to lessen the impact on the environment and to contribute to our local community and economy.

We will try to be as environmentally friendly as possible, and make our clients aware of what we are doing and why.

How we will achieve this ?

Outside lights are on time limiters, and existing light bulbs will be replaced with energy saving alternatives as required. This will also be used inside the building as they need replacing.

The electricity meter will be regularly monitored. I.e. once a quarter.

Water saving devices will be fitted to toilet cisterns.

Recycling facilities are made available to all areas of the site, to include, glass, paper, plastics, cans and compostable material.

As much waste paper as possible will be reused, and we will endeavour use recycled paper in the office where applicable.

Toilet paper use will be cut, and recycled paper used where applicable.

We will use environmentally friendly cleaning products.

Food used for training courses and lunches will be sourced locally.

Support of local accommodation and facilities will be encouraged.

All office supplies will be sauced locally.

We will minimise the use of chemicals throughout the site.

A bike store will be made available for those requiring it.

Public transport is limited, but clients are encouraged to car share.

Clients are encouraged to enjoy the locality during their stay. Sites of particular interest will be drawn to their attention.

When renewing equipment we will replace with environmentally friendly alternatives.

Develop training packages to help others enhance the environment, and run their businesses and environmentally friendly way.
