• Chainsaw (One Per Person)
• Combination Spanners 
•  Flat Files With Handles
•  Round Files With Handles – Size To Suit Chainsaw
• Callipers (For Measuring Chain Links – Cutter) (Advisable Not Essential)
• Sharpening Vice
• Engineer’s Square (Advisable Not Essential)
• Bar Groove Scrapers
• Depth Gauge Tools
• Feeler Gauge (Advisable Not Essential) 
• Cleaning Brush (For Spark Plug)
• Manufacturer’s Manual
• Fuel – 2 Stroke 
• Chain Oil 

 Safety Clothing

• Helmet' Visor, Ear Defender
• Chainsaw Protective Gloves
• Chainsaw Protective Trousers Etc. – Of Suitable Construction (Type C)
• Forestry Boots Or Forestry Wellingtons
• Protective Jacket If Risk Assessment Dictates This Is Necessary. Needed For Cs30 On Vale Courses.       
• First Aid Kit (Personal) – One Each        
• First Aid Kit (Squad Kit) 

  For Felling Courses     

• Filing Clamp (Stump Vice)
• Felling Lever         
• Plastic Or Alloy Wedges   

   

Equipment and PPE can be hired by arrangement from Vale Training if you do not have everything you need, where courses are run on our site, but will be subject to Covid -19 restrictions.  We ask for a £50 cash deposit, this is then returned once everything is handed back at the end of the course and a £30- £50 hire charge will be added to the invoice.
