Spraying - F.E.P.A. PA3 Variable Geometry Boom or Broadcast

A one day course for those who wishing to develop their spraying techniques using variable geometry or broad cast machines. They can be trailed or mounted. The course also leads to the NPTC PA 3 certificate of competency.

Pre Course Requirements:- PA1 Safe Use and Handling of Chemicals 

Course Certification:- NPTC

Course Length:- One day +  3-4 Hour assessment

Course Times:- 9.30AM to 4.30PM

Maximum number of delegates:- 3-6 depending on Covid-19 restrictions.

The course will cover the following:-

• General Safety, 
• Preparation of work – general, 
• Checking and fitting pump, 
• Attaching to and removing sprayer from tractor, 
• Cleaning and inspection, Out of season maintenance and storage,
•  Setting and testing application rate, 
• Preparing pesticides and filling sprayer for work, 
• Setting the direction and volume of air, 
• Operation and practice, 
• Spray drift and environmental factors, 
• After work and record keeping.
