What Is A Skills Bootcamp ?  Skills Bootcamps are a government backed project to help develop new skills that employers are looking for. They’re a great opportunity to train in a new industry or progress in your current career. Who Is Eligible ? You need to be 19 or over to do a Skills Bootcamp. For Skills Bootcamps, you do not need to have any previous knowledge in the subject. You just need to speak a good level of English and have a willingness to learn. Our project is open to those already employed as well as those looking to enter the industry. Some courses may have additional entry requirements, such as needing you to have a certain qualification or experience. If there are any, they will be listed in the relevant course details. Delegates should live / work in Bucks or close boarders

What will it cost ? For the those who are employed in a small agricultural business the cost will be just 10% of normal fees, for those who are not currently employed in agriculture but which to join the project training will be free.

What Training Will Be Included In The Project ? Within the project we will deliver training in skills that are vital to get a job in agriculture, as well as helping the candidate at interview and in career progression. This will include Pesticide application, Forklift use, interview techniques, livestock skills and many more.

What is the commitment required ? Delegates will be expected to undertake a pre registration interview, attend all the courses with in the project, and then attend a post project interview. Employers will be required to ensure delegates attend training and at the end of the project offer the employee a wage increase and or enhanced job role.

When Will The Training start? We are hoping that the first delegates will start training in July and the project will end in March 2025 After A Skills Bootcamp ?After delegates have  finished your Skills Bootcamp, they are guaranteed a job interview with an employer or career progression. You could also: get a new job or apprenticeship progress in your current job find new business opportunities if you're self-employed
