Safe Use and Operation of pole-saws.

This course is for those wishing to undertake the pruning of trees using pole mounted, long reach pruning equipment, which may include: extendable pruning saws, powered pole pruners, loppers.

Pre Course Requirements:-

One day course :-For those wishing to attend a one day course a chainsaw operation and maintenance qualification is required. This can be Lantra or NPTC

Two day course :- There are no pre course requirements.

Course Certification:- Lantra or NPTC

Course Length:- One to two days depending on delegates previous qualifications.

Course Times:- 9.30AM to 4.30PM

Instructor:- Various

Cost:- One day:- £165 per delegate + VAT including registration

           Two day:- £280 per delegate + VAT including registration

Venue:- Marsh Hill Farm, HP17 8ST. Or to suit client

  • Introduction Risk Assessment
  • Legislation
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Pre-use checks
  • Safety Features Routine checks and maintenance
  • Start machine and carry out safety checks
  • Preparation of site, machine and materials
  • Operation of Powered Pole Pruner
  • Cleaning, transport and storage
